Recorded in Jakarta. Finished six years later.
The tapes started rolling in Jakarta in 2019, during the protests. I took the recordings home to the United States and produced the record remotely over the next six years. It came out on 1 June 2025.
Traditional Indonesian instrumentation sits against modern dubstep bass. Adi Saputra and Mukti Satria carry the vocals as they were cut in 2019; Vani counterbalances them. Eleven tracks, an instrumental on either end, most of them under three and a half minutes.
